FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STATEMENT OF CLARIFATION FROM UNITED MEDIA REGARDING CAMP SNOOPY AT MALL OF AMERICA

January 10, 2006 In response to misperceptions regarding the facts surrounding the recent announcement that Camp Snoopy will no longer exist at the Mall of America after January 19, 2006, United Media would like to clarify its role in the recent discussions between Cedar Fair and the Mall of America.

Contrary to what has been reported, United Media does not have the legal right to allow Camp Snoopy to remain at the Mall of America on the terms requested by the Mall of America due to the fact that it has an exclusive agreement with Cedar Fair (which hosts the Peanuts characters in six additional theme parks throughout the United States), and the Mall of America sought rights that are currently held by Cedar Fair. When the Mall of America terminated its management agreement with Cedar Fair effective March 28, 2005, it was the hope of United Media that the parties would come to an agreement allowing Camp Snoopy to remain within the Mall. Unfortunately, for reasons beyond the control of United Media, the parties were unable to consummate an agreement allowing Camp Snoopy to remain at the Mall of America.

As stated in at January 9th statement issued jointly with Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, United Media is disappointed in the results of the ongoing litigation between Mall of America and Cedar Fair. Not having Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America will be a great loss to the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
