RAGGEDY ANN & ANDY GO DOWN IN HISTORY
Raggedy Ann & AndyIn honor of its 100th anniversary, MACY*S has decorated its Broadway windows with famous American icons and participants in past parades. Raggedy Ann & Andy and the classic storybooks, Raggedy Ann Stories and Raggedy Andy Stories, are featured prominently in the 1920's themed window just in time for this year's annual parade.

PRECIOUS MOMENTS ENTERS THE JAPANESE MOBILE PHONE WORLD
This August, "Charaweb", an official website of i-mode, EZ web, and J-SKY, launched a downloadable content service featuring Precious Moments in Japan. The service provides customers with Precious Moments-themed content on screen savers, watch applications, games and puzzles. The monthly fee for this service is approximately $1.00. Charaweb is a character-oriented web-site that reaches 250,000-500,000 customers per day.

2GRRRLS INSPIRES YOU TO BE THE GIRL YOU WANNA BE IN EVERY LANGUAGE
Across the globe, 2GRRRLS will hit it big in 2003. Stationery items were already introduced in Australia this fall. But next year the program really starts to roll out. New apparel lines will hit China and Mexico; bags and accessories will adorn the shops of Hong Kong; kids will head back to school with stationery and other related products in Brazil; and hats and backpacks will launch in Mexico. 2GRRRLS is surely on its way.

BEATRIX POTTER IN THE NEWS
The public relations team at United Media is gearing up for holiday press surrounding the 100th anniversary of the famed classic, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Linda Lear, author of an upcoming Beatrix Potter biography, will be in Washington, D.C. for a satellite tour of regional talk shows across the country. We expect great coverage for this classic brand.

SNOOPY AND WOODSTOCK ARE SQUEEZABLY SOFT
PEANUTS fans now have a new Snoopy and Woodstock plush to add to their collection. This October, FAO Schwarz launched six skus of Applause plush in stores nationwide. Additional products, including figurines, mugs, mini notebooks and journals are currently in development and will roll out beginning February, 2002.

SAY A LITTLE PRAYER FOR ME
Precious Moments Prayer Dolls by Luv 'N Care launched with great success at WAL*MART and have been a huge hit with consumers. With sell through numbers hitting sky high, these dolls are adorning nurseries nationwide.

PEANUTS GangScholastic Books and PEANUTS have teamed up to launch a new children's book program beginning January of 2003. Each month, young subscribers will receive a new 144 page craft and activity book along with collectible trading cards via mail. The book program will be advertised through Scholastic's book fairs and in-school book club programs.


INTERNATIONAL BOOK PROGRAM EXPANDS
PEANUTS bookBeijing News & Books Publishing Company has signed on to publish a wide range of PEANUTS and Dilbert titles in China. PEANUTS books include You Don't Look 40, Charlie Brown; The Snoopy Dictionary Set, complete with CD-ROM; Charlie Brown's Encyclopedia Set (5 volumes); and a selection of popular titles previously published by HarperHorizon. Dilbert will bring humor to the office-weary in China with a six-title program, including worldwide best-sellers The Dilbert Principle and The Dilbert Future. All books will be sold at XinHua Book Store, the largest retail chain in China. Book introductions will be supported by free-standing displays at the heads of stores and print advertising.

PEANUTS & MCDONALD'S IN LATIN AMERICA
Since the original Connect-a-Snoopy McDonald's promotion ranked as the #2 most successful program in the history of the Latin American Cajita Feliz (happy meal box), McDonald's is planning to launch the Connect-a-Snoopy II program in 2003! Snoopy will appear again at McDonald's in Latin America (excluding Brazil), beginning in January through March '03.

GET FUZZY
GET FUZZY CalendarCalendars featuring Rob, Satchel and that lovable (or unlovable) Bucky have hit bookstores with a big bang. Barnes & Nobles and Virgin Megastores have set up prominent displays and over 1500 Borders and Waldenbooks have added front-of-store signage, including posters and standees. Also hot off the press is the new Get Fuzzy reprint book GROOVITUDE, which hit stores last month and is currently the number two Andrews McMeel title at Borders!

arthur MAKES KIDS HAPPY AT MCDONALDS
This October, Nicholas Bluetooth and his best friend Allegra journeyed from the Outer Dimension straight into McDonalds' Happy Meals. Fans of arthur: Defenders of the Outer Dimension were able to collect five different characters from the popular new series and a 12 page arthur storybook. Three exciting television commercials supported this promotion. Avid fans also had a chance to pick up a box of Captain Crunch with arthur on the front and a free "glinching" card inside.

SNOOPY LENDS A HAND IN PORTUGAL
Why, Charlie Brown, WhyThis past June, Snoopy gave his support to the Acreditar, a Children's Cancer organization in Portugal, by appearing at the Fnack Book Shop in Colombo Shopping Center. The appearance coincided with the launch of the book entitled Why Charlie Brown, Why?, by Charles Schulz. Why Charlie Brown, Why? was originally published in the US over a decade ago and is being relaunched this fall by Ballantine, with proceeds going to Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp organization.
